Columbia Shuttle Recovery
Ok, this article is maybe pushing the envelope for a government blog, I just found it to be pretty interesting since this happened in my small hometown of Hemphill, consisting of 1100 people in East Texas. This article describes an out of town man's viewpoint on the way he helped search in the recovery. This article also has a pretty neat radar image of the shuttle as it dissipated over East Texas and Western Louisiana. It also briefly describes how some of the state and national agencies were working together, along with the locals and volunteers. It's a fairly informative article on what some of the recovery efforts were like. Enjoy.
